Your speech is not free – and neither is your art!

Once upon a long ago faraway time

When speech was not yet considered a crime

And you were free to say whatever sprang to mind

Whether it be witty or wise, cruel or kind
.

Known as free-speech and intended for all

Including the short, fat, skinny and tall

And for a while everyone agreed it was swell

Until the easily-offended began to cause hell
.

Those who had something to hide came together

To reign in our words and on our speech put a tether

Claiming certain words offended their sensibilities

Revealing their small minds and big insecurities
 .

It’s a virus of sorts and it’s spreading like wildfire

More and more people get caught in the quagmire

Feeling it’s their god-given right to not be offended

The old frame they broke and do not want it mended
. 

The sickness of PC BS is deadly and spreading

Some sue for money, others demand beheading

Say Cruise is gay and the problem gets bigger

Or muslim-terrorist, evil-pope, knacker, or nigger
 .

Do it and you’ll see that the consequences are plenty

You’ll be called bad names or fined or do a hard twenty

Those offended are free to say you’re a hater and racist

Self-righteous hypocrites, ignorant and fascist
. 

If you’re at all like me, we must unite and fight

These messengers of darkness by shining a bright light

Because the next thing these lost souls have planned

Is to make sure that all of our freedoms are banned
 .

You think I’m exaggerating? Well, there’ll come a time

When Thought Police remind us that thinking is a crime

No more original thought, being yourself or sharing laughter

Once upon a soon to come there’ll be no happily-ever-after

Reclaim your rights before these morons steal them all away

The longer you do nothing, the higher price you’ll pay

And if you’re one of the demons, please do humans a favour
